FORT WORTH – Medical City Fort Worth celebrated the completion of a $750,000 emergency department expansion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, March 26. Hospital leaders, physicians and colleagues gathered to recognize this milestone in expanding emergency care capacity and supporting growing patient volumes.

The expansion adds 28 treatment spaces, including seven private patient rooms, two consultation rooms, two triage rooms and an expanded internal waiting area. The project also includes new equipment to enhance emergency care delivery.

The enhancements were developed in response to sustained increases in emergency department visits and inpatient volumes, creating the need for additional space to evaluate and treat patients.

“We are seeing continued growth in emergency care needs across our community, and this expansion allows us to better meet that demand,” says Brandy Stegall, chief nursing officer at Medical City Fort Worth. “This project reflects our commitment to compassionate and patient-centered care, quality and listening to our teams when they identify opportunities to be the destination of choice for healthcare excellence.”

The project originated from frontline team input and reflects collaboration between clinical and operational leadership.
